Nothing has confirmed that the Phone (1), its first smartphone, is coming this summer. The company that debuted a transparent headset, the Nothing Ear (1), aims to revolutionise the market with its latest release.

The Nothing phone (1) will be the first smartphone from Carl Pei’s new company, the visible face of OnePlus until recently. It will run the Nothing OS, which “is based on an open, seamless ecosystem that effortlessly connects and integrates products” from the company and, it is hoped, other brands.

The operating system will have features similar to the basics of Android, but with the company’s own tweaks. The phone is notable for its own customisation layer, some of which can be tested via an open launcher, the Qualcomm processor and the promise of tight integration between hardware and software.
