Kali Uchis reaffirms herself with “Isolation”

His first and only EP ‘Por Vida’ was released for free on her website in May 2015, where songs like ‘Ridin Round’, ‘Lottery’ or maybe the collaboration with Snoop Dogg (On Edge) were the ones that made her famous. Although, without a doubt, the first big push came from Tyler The Creator who – after listening to one of her songs – sent her a message on Twitter inviting her to Los Angeles to record a couple of songs with him (that was the first time the Colombian artist recorded in a professional studio).

There’s no doubt about it…. the three years of waiting have been worth it, as Kali Uchis brings us one of the albums with the most surprising and unexpected collaborations of the year, an album with so many different styles that the Colombian decides to define it as “alternative”. A blow on the table of a trend, the Latino, that is consolidating in the USA.

Jorja Smith, Tyler The Creator, Reykon, BIA, Damon Albarn de Gorillaz and Kevin Parker from Tame Impala are the voices we can hear in this new project by Kali Uchis.
