Since he was a teenager, United Arrows & Sons Creative Director Motofumi “Poggy” Kogi (@poggytheman) has been inspired by the combination of urban style and vintage American workwear. Specifically, it’s Levi’s® denim and the classic look of legendary movie star James Dean that has captivated the Japanese creator we spoke to recently.
Together they have created a unique capsule collection that combines the craftsmanship and authenticity of classic workwear with the avant-garde style and creativity of urban culture. “I grew up with the street culture, and in the 1990s there were many great fashion magazines in Japan from which I learned. With this capsule collection, I try to combine traditional workwear with an urban attitude, but with a vintage look,” says Poggy.
Walking through the Levi’s® archives in San Francisco, Poggy found examples of World War II workwear that served as the basis for this capsule collection: military jackets, overalls, hats and shirts. All these garments have been reinterpreted and new, more up-to-date versions have been obtained.

A tribute to the popularity of vintage clothing, especially Levi’s (@levis) classics, in Japan. These are garments designed for anyone who understands and appreciates the mashup between streetwear and vintage style, with a very specific attention to detail. And, as Poggy says, “it’s a collection especially for Levi’s fans”.
In Spain, the Levi’s Made & Crafted x Poggy collection can be found in the Barcelona concept store Sivasdescalzo (Calle de Bailén, 18).
