Designing a collection. That’s right, the fashion house Jean Paul Gaultier and one of the stylists of the moment Lotta Volkova, known for having been one of the authors of the take-off of the clothing brand Vetements or for having collaborated with others such as Balenciaga or Miu Miu, have decided to join forces to collaborate hand in hand and design together a capsule collection of ready-to-wear garments.
Following in the footsteps of designers such as Glenn Martens and Chitose Abe, Lotta Volkova has decided to join the exclusive list of those who have already collaborated with the firm founded by the enfant terrible of fashion and thus launch herself into the world of design.
In this collection we can find mainly a series of naked dresses that perfectly represent the styles of both and that we will surely see several celebrities wearing them without any fear. But this capsule is not only made up of dresses, but also of tops with pointed breasts, all of them of “camp” and surrealist inspiration, and of “S&M” jackets and skirts. And while we’re on the subject of jackets, we have to highlight a couple in particular, one with an open back and the other with cropped wool and puffed sleeves.
Lotta Volkova x Jean Paul Gaultier is now available in selected JPG boutiques and online.
