Apple TV+ will launch a new docu-series starring Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington, who dominated the catwalks during the 90s.
The four leading ladies monopolized the fashion industry during the 1990s, coining the term ‘supermodel’ thanks to their style and commanding attitude. The new Apple TV+ docu-series offers a realistic perspective of their work through their own testimonies. It will allow us to get to know the hidden face of the profession in an emotional and intimate portrait dealing with topics such as the female role in the industry, activism or their incursion into the business world. As the supermodels share their reflections on their careers, we will also be able to enjoy an archive of never-before-seen images.
“My sisters Christy, Linda, Cindy and I are so excited to share our story with the world and there couldn’t be better partners than Brian Grazer and Ron Howard. It’s a dream come true – we hope our journey motivates and inspires young people around the world!” shared Naomi Campbell on her Instagram profile.
“How do you define the word ‘supermodel’?” a producer asks in the teaser. Imagine Documentaries and One Story Up prepared the four-part series for its premiere on Apple TV+ alongside executive producers Ron Howard, Barbara Kopple, Roger Ross Williams, Geoff Martz, Brian Grazer, Sara Bernstein and Justin Wilkes.
‘The Super Models’ will premiere on September 20 this year on Apple TV+.
