Tokyo Design Studio is the 100% Japanese-inspired Dutch craftsmanship brand that has collaborated with New Balance on a silhouette that combines Asian tradition and functionality with an avant-garde twist. In this way, the sneaker called 610 features a contemporary construction inspired by the Japanese proverb, “Not seeing is a flower (見ぬが花)”. The collaboration prioritises four pillars: precision, nature, sporty craftsmanship and protection.
Tokyo Design Studio 610S blurs the lines between ‘rest’ and ‘leisure’ with its laceless version of the 610’s hiking-style silhouette. Rugged features like the mesh upper and serrated sole combine with the casual style of suede overlays and neutral tones. With no laces, the elasticated collar adds a modern twist to the secure-fit functionality. The silhouette comes in two autumnal shades of brown and beige.
Tokyo Design Studio x New Balance Pitch Low-Top Trainers will be available for purchase on November 17th via the New Balance web shop.
