Following the sudden death of Virgil Abloh in 2021, Pharell Williams took over as head of Louis Vuitton‘s menswear division. After making his debut last summer and making a trip to Hong Kong to present the Pre-Fall 2024 collection, the artist presented his third FW24 collection for the Maison in Paris. Now, the creative has decided to team up with his friend and artist Tyler, The Creator on a capsule collection. This would mark Pharell’s first independent collaboration as the French luxury brand’s menswear creative director.
In this first joint collaboration, the duo revamp the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram illustration. According to the image shared to announce the capsule collection, the founder of GOLF le FLEUR is seen about to take a flight straight into the heart of the Maison. The artist is carrying the brand’s iconic travel bag, a navy blue aviator-style outwear piece with the updated LV logo in orange, plus a helmet in the house motif and a pair of pilot’s goggles. In the background, we see a bellboy stowing the suitcases and the €45,000 Courrier Lozine 110 boot.
We look forward to updating you on this long-awaited collaboration.
