Carlota Barrera presents “FROM THE BODY’S EDGE”, her proposal for the Spring/Summer 2026 season — a collection that brings the invisible to the surface and transforms intimacy into construction.
The designer continues to explore the boundaries of menswear from a contemporary perspective. This time, traditional codes are reinterpreted through details inspired by lingerie: sheer layers, exposed linings, adjustable straps and visible fastenings. Pin tucks trace the path of stockings, ribbons recall garters, and tuxedo straps resemble corset closures.
The result is a proposal where functionality becomes gesture and intimacy turns into form. The line between masculine and feminine blurs, without rejecting the language of tailoring but reorganising it to speak in new forms of expression.
Between formal and informal, visible and hidden, Barrera reflects on vulnerability and structure. The collection redefines control — not as restraint, but as movement and direction.
