Raf Simons x adidas introduce the complete Trompe-L’œil SS19 footwear collection.
The Samba Stan has been the new demonstration of the obsession of the designer Raf Simons for the iconic Stan Smith of adidas. The design adds to the collection that both brands have launched inspired by the trompe-l’œil technique, which creates an optical illusion in each piece.
The new version features a full leather upper with all the legendary aesthetics of the original model. The perforated details on the sides form the letter “R”, superimposed on the three classic bands of the firm. The yellow and blue-green midsole stands out, creating a surprising contrast with the neutral tone of the upper part.
The SS19 collection features five designs by Stan Smith, as well as the classic Adilette silhouette, which has also been reinvented consolidating itself as one of the most powerful drops for this summer, and which is expected to be launched on May 12. All models incorporate a series of signs of wear to get strong vintage aesthetics, creating an excellent continuity between the pieces of the collection.
