In 1999, Kimora Lee Simmons introduced the world to Baby Phat, succeeding with her bold and affordable designs. After announcing that the brand would return last year, Simmons now presents her new project: Baby Phat Beauty.
This new project is another step forward for the brand, which this time has the help of its daughters Ming and Aoki Lee Simmons. “When I launched Baby Phat in 1999, I had to fight for a place in both the haute couture and streetwear worlds. I did it by staying true to myself and raising an entire generation that embraced diversity,” says Simmons.
“The return of the brand has given me the opportunity to tell that story again to a new generation, a generation that I raised.
Its first beauty collection features the Shimmer Dreams set – an illuminating body spray, a moisturizing body lotion and a lip gloss. In addition, Baby Phat Beauty is charitable, as they will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales to Fair Fight – an organization that promotes fair choices.
