Demna Gvasalia now goes on to Youtube with a proposal that connects video, fashion and art in a hypnotic visual concept with her series of ‘Loops’, making the scene understand -once again- that Balenciaga has no limits.
The visual loops or looped animations of delirious / psychedelic sounds are configured in a background music mood, in a conceptual art form that lasts 35 minutes with the aim of reflecting different moods, through background sounds that merge with any vital moment: from exercising, to showering or sitting in the office.
In its first edition, ‘Loop 01’, Balenciaga hired illustrator Max Guther to create a showcase that also included their SS2019 women’s clothing line, and reflected this through one of their vibrantly colored looks. In fact, all the pieces from the firm’s collections will be included in each of the videos created by different artists. In this work set in a hyper-realistic paradise bath, electro-beats by Rinse France channel the preparation for the party.
The second animation, ‘Loop 02’ or digital universe is set in a totally different scenario: a chaotic office that comes to life on its own, through works of moving art created by Max de Waard, in which you can also appreciate the Balenciaga track. Here, Rinse France is once again in charge of fusing and mixing all that playlist of techno sounds on point for an after party at home.
This is how Balenciaga now immerses himself in the world youtuber to bring us all that oneiric paradigm of net art. Already wishing to see the next movement of the French house with which we raise the tension every time we inject something new into the industry.
