The rumours are true. Estée Lauder has signed an agreement with luxury fashion house Balmain to develop, produce and distribute Balmain Beauty.
The launch is scheduled for autumn 2024 and aims to “transform the world of luxury beauty and couture”. Balmain is the third fashion house to join Estée Lauder. The French brand, founded in 1945 by Pierre Balmain, has been under the creative direction of Olivier Rousteing since his appointment in 2011. Today, the brand also includes Balmain Hair Couture, a line dedicated to hairstyling products and accessories.
“For more than a decade, my team at Balmain and I have pushed the boundaries of what is possible in the fashion world. We have always wanted to reflect the way today’s diverse generations want to live and dress. From the very beginning, the Estée Lauder group made it clear that it supported Balmain’s unique vision, as well as our ambition to alter the global paradigm of luxury beauty,” explains Olivier Rousteing, the brand’s creative director.
