Burberry presents Arthur: nylon and utilitarianism

Burberry returns with its latest shoe release, featuring their Arthur Sneakers, a high performance silhouette with a clear rain boot inspiration and a very high resistance profile.

The Arthur’s are part of the Tempest catwalk collection. Its name is inspired by Arthur Wellesley, the first Duke of Wellington, who transformed humble water boots into a 19th century icon. These modern, urban-influenced sneakers are a nod to the classic Wellington boots and protective footwear worn by sailors.

The technical aspect permeates the whole shoe, while it is the materials that really play the leading role: high quality nylon, rubber reinforcements and suede make this proposal one of the most interesting in the current of “technical outdoor” (trail, etc.).
