Discover the beauty trends of the moment

From radical transformations to eccentric makeovers or dazzling braids: these are the beauty trends of the moment.

The fashion month has served us great doses of inspiration and evasion for a cathartic year from which we try to escape through fantasy. Something to which the beauty sector and its amalgam of trends displayed on the Fall 22 catwalks have contributed. From radical transformations to eccentric makeovers, colorful hair colorations or dazzling braids: these are the five beauty trends of the moment.

EYEBROW BLEACHING

Beyond the striking look of the Hadid sisters with bleached eyebrows on the Versace runway, we could see that alien cut look in Richard Quinn‘s proposal, and on models like Lila Moss. A trend that ended up on the Burberry fashion stage. Love it or hate it, eyebrow bleaching is already circulating in the system.

METALLIC ACCENTS

This season was filled with great makeups in vibrant tones, mixed with metallic palettes introduced at Gucci by makeup artist Thomas de Kluyver. At AMBUSH, gold pigment also stood out, with shimmering touches of bronze and purple; and at Dior with silver accents on the inside of the eye.

EXPERIMENTAL BRAIDS

Braids are already everywhere. From the Instagram feed to the runway, evoking drama and theatricality, brands like Collina Strada explored the hairstyle with model Indira Scott and her gravity-defying cascade of braids.

Simone Rocha, meanwhile, reinterpreted the world of braids with braided pigtails that formed a small hoop at the base. Harvey, the stylist behind these braids, also reimagined them for Schiaparelli with a braided hairstyle with spiky ends and a punk-inspired crest.

WET EFFECT

The wet-look hairstyles are also bathing the fashion proposals in different versions, such as Peter Do‘s “just out of the water” or Altuzarra‘s sculpted hairstyles with side sweeps. Fendi has also immersed itself in this trend with Guido Palau and his concept of wet and shiny hair.

FACIAL BEAUTIFIERS

From the creators of the face stickers so deeply rooted in today’s beauty culture, thanks in part to Euphoria, the reference series of the new generations, come facial embellishments in all their formats. Connor Ive explored in London the beauty codes of the 2000s club kids, decorating the faces of the models with colored gems.

On the other hand, Simone Rocha surprised us with a totally different look that paid homage to Irish folklore by fusing pearls and crystals on our faces. Givenchy brought out its punkier side with trompe l’oeil face piercings and metal gems pressed along the forehead.
