The Japanese label Glamb joins Medicom Toy to release a limited edition of ‘Throw Mickey’ figures, inspired by Bansky’s work.
The vinyl piece, which comes in monochrome and color editions, features the famous Walt Disney character throwing a bouquet of flowers. This figure pays tribute to the iconic piece of art by Banksy of 2005 entitled Rage, the Flower Thrower or Love is in the Air. The famous work portrays a masked Palestinian throwing a bouquet of flowers.
In July, Medicom Toy released an edition of Mickey Mouse with Swarovski crystals at a high price of 6,680 euros. In addition, the toy manufacturer launched, together with the glass goods company, Baccarat, a BE@RBRICK translucent, mouse-shaped.
Glamb and Medicom Toy’s Throw Mickey figures are scheduled to go out and ship this month. Each figure has a price of 66.28 euros.
