Gucci unveils the futuristic evolution of the Ultrapace R

Gucci unveils one of the most eccentric and innovative versions of its Ultrapace R technical silhouette for the autumn-winter 2021 season.

Inspired by the aesthetics and functionality of running, the Ultrapace line enters a new chapter with a futuristic evolution of the original design. Now, the high-end house‘s most technical sneakers are constructed in transparent rubber, offering a glimpse into the future of footwear.

Decoding the silhouette, we can see a rubber upper with seemingly overlapping panels, as they are actually composed of a single piece. Tongue elements accentuate the metallic silver rubber upper, while a wire dial closure system allows the fit of the shoe to be altered.

 

On the back, we find a black and neon yellow rubber panel with “GG” and Ultrapace R branding. The transparent rubber sole unit and red knitted lining finish off the Ultrapace R’s design. Get them from the Gucci website for around 758 euros.
