JJJJJound and Asics take a new approach to the GEL-KAYANO 14

JJJJJound has earned the respect of the streetwear scene for his minimalist approach, and now he’s collaborating on Asics’ GEL-KAYANO 14 model.

 

Trainer collaborations have become a must for the Montreal-based brand. After re-releasing the New Balance 990v3, JJJJound presents a new design of Asics’ iconic GEL-KAYANO 14 sneaker.

This is the first time JJJJound has collaborated with the Japanese brand to create new designs of the GEL-KAYANO 14 in neutral colours. There are some similarities between the two models, such as the mesh and metallic overlays.

In the first pair, the Asics stripes are filled in with black and in the second pair the shoe takes a brighter approach. Both arrive with gel soles in shades of yellow and both brands’ logos on the side heels.

 

Neither brand has announced launch information yet, but they are likely to hit the market in the coming months.
