After the first images of the sneakers surfaced a week ago on social media, Joe Freshgoods has finally officially unveiled his New Balance 1000 collaboration. Bringing back the retro trainer in different “Pink Mink” and “Black Ice” colour combinations, the Chicago-based designer’s interpretation of the 1998 shoe is a far cry from the classic New Balance trainer.
The first model is painted predominantly in black and decorated with brown panels. The second silhouette, on the other hand, features a palette of pink tones being the more flirty version. Both trainers are made with mesh bases and leather panels. The “N” logo appears on the medial sides, while the “JFG” logo can be found on the toe and heel.
This isn’t the first time the famous Joe Freshgoods has helped introduce a new silhouette of the big “N”. Two years ago, New Balance introduced the 9060 model with the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 9060 “Inside Voices” collection. And judging by the success of all their collaborations, we’re guessing that this new redesign of the New Balance 100 x Joe Freshgoods will be on everyone’s lips.
