After linking up with Naruto Shippuden for a collaboration, ASICS has announced that they will continue their partnership with Kiko Kostadinov and so they are releasing three more pairs of the UB3-S GEL-NIMBUS 9 for this season.
The Bulgarian designer always applies his own language to the category of shoes he has in line with the Japanese brand and this is represented as in the HS3-S GEL-NANDI and HN2-S PROTOBLAST silhouettes. Now the duo has unveiled the next chapter of their collaboration: the UB3-S GEL-NIMBUS 9.
Overall, the silhouette has a similar shape to the GEL-NIMBUS 9, but features several distinctive elements. Namely, this new design is inspired by archival silhouettes, colours and materials.
The release is highlighted by overlays that arrive in patent leather, a signature material of Kiko Kostadinov‘s designs, and come lined with mesh underlays and synthetic panels. The soles are designed with a slightly aggressive shape and combine two different shades.
The UB3-S GEL-NIMBUS 9 is now available through select retailers such as Sneaker District for 190 euros.
