Louis Vuitton fills its facades with colour

Louis Vuitton invites its employees and their children to decorate the windows of the Maison in a new initiative called “The Rainbow Project”.

After recruiting the artist Luckylefthand to decorate the façade of its headquarters in Paris, Louis Vuitton invites its employees and their children to decorate the windows of the Maison in a new initiative called “The Rainbow Project”.

Continuing the company’s long tradition of creating attractive and ingenious showcases for the public to see, the effort this time is focused on inviting collaboration. LV asks participants to draw their own version of a rainbow – a symbol of hope and the beginning of a new adventure – to welcome the first months of early summer.

In each city, local rainbow patterns will illuminate the store’s facades in the form of stickers or animated digital screens. For example, the shop on the Champs-Elysées in Paris presents a selection of rainbows, created by French children. In Madrid, a Spanish child’s drawing of a rainbow is displayed in the shop window, floating in the clouds of Louis Vuitton’s monograms. Other cities that have revealed their rainbow windows are Milan, Rome and Frankfurt.

Stay tuned for the rest of “The Rainbow Project” which will be unveiled throughout the month of May in selected Louis Vuitton stores around the world.
