Mietis travels back to the 60s and 70s to create its latest collection

Catalan brand Mietis presents its latest ready-to-wear and handbag collection inspired by food and jelly dessert adverts.

The Catalan fashion brand founded in 2017 by María Fontanellas, Mietis, is one of the few Spanish firms that, apart from having conquered the national territory, has crossed borders thanks to its original and fun creations. But today we are not here to talk about its “background” but to present its latest collection of ready-to-wear and handbags.

Inspired by the retro aesthetics of food commercials and jelly desserts from the 60s and 70s, Maria and her creative team have designed a collection whose protagonists are, as we can see at first glance, the colours and the term “colour block”. This term is reflected in each and every one of the looks, which are composed of fruity colours and psychedelic lines, as well as new elements such as quilted waves.

Among the garments in the collection we must highlight the checkerboard print coat in russet and beige or the pastel-coloured Willy “Rayo” jacket, characterised by its slim fit, without forgetting the bags, specifically the Marieta model in orange and the Tatu in white.

Take a look at the gallery and let us know what you think of this latest Mietis collection. Last but not least, if you like something you should know that all the pieces and accessories are now on sale on its website.
