Nike and ACRONYM merge fashion and technology

Nike has unveiled its latest collaboration with ACRONYM that fuses style and technology into classic pieces and the iconic Blazer Low.

Nike has unveiled its latest collaboration with ACRONYM, the independent design agency of Errolson Hugh and Michaela Sachenbacher that fuses style and technology. This is the first collection the two brands have worked together to redesign classic pieces and the iconic Blazer Low.

The Nike x ACRONYM collection celebrates the sports brand’s culture of innovation and combines performance apparel with ACRONYM’s technical expertise. In addition to the apparel, the launch also includes the Blazer Low in “Black” or “Night Maroon”.

Both colour combinations feature custom ACRONYM logos on the tongue, lining and heel, with camouflage print branding. Another feature is the removable TPU heel clip detail, added to the Blazer Low for the first time.

The launch includes Therma-FIT and recycled polyester tracksuits and T-shirts. Key features pervading all pieces are reflective underlays and ghillie-inspired panels to continue the camouflage motif.

The Nike x ACRONYM capsule graphics are the work of Japanese graffiti artist NESM and typographer David Rudnick. The design touch is present with the diagonal zip used on the jacket that can be converted into a carrying strap.

The full collection, including Blazer Low colourways, will launch on 9 February via the ACRONYM webstore, before launching on SNRKS and at select Nike retailers a day later.
