Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “The Next Wave” arrives

Patta and Nike have officially unveiled the Air Max 1 “The Next Wave” collaboration. This latest release continues the two brands’ “The Wave” collaboration that began last year. 

 

“The Next Wave” comes in a new colour combination. A “Dark Russett” brown leather construction paired with a “Metallic Silver” mesh, burgundy lining and light blue detailing. The Next Wave” shoe has been captured in a campaign by photographer Shaniqua Jarvis.

The new release is inspired by the African proverb “Each One Teach One”, which supports Patta‘s ambition to create and foster a global community. To further this goal, Patta has also launched an exchange at Nike’s SHAPA Soweto community centre in Johannesburg.

 

Launching the collaborative programme, Gee Schmidt, Patta’s co-founder, said: “SHAPA serves as a safe space for the next generation of athletes and leaders. By bringing an exchange through Patta Academy, we are thrilled to collaborate and connect with some of the brightest kids on the African continent through SHAPA”.

The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “The Next Wave” collection will launch on August 12 through Patta’s web shop, physical shops and at SNKRS.
