Police kick Banksy out of Venice Biennale

Banksy appears at the Venice Biennale.

“Setting out my stall at the Venice Biennale.

Despite being the largest and most prestigious art event in the world, for some reason I’ve never been invited.”

The post is accompanied by a one-minute video documenting a hidden man and placing a set of oil paintings framed in the streets of the Italian city. Once assembled, the group of images represents the always controversial cruisers that dwarf the spectacular landscape of the city of Venice as they pass through the great canal.

A camera records unsuspecting passers-by expressing their opinions about the work, but not for long. The unauthorized display caught the attention of the police, who quickly forced the vendor – perhaps Banksy himself – to leave the area.
