Raf Simons celebrates 30 years of legacy with an archive sale in Tokyo

Tokyo, the epicentre of the Simons archive

Raf Simons will once again place Tokyo at the centre of the fashion map with a very special project. The Belgian designer will present a self-curated retrospective and archive sale at Dover Street Market Ginza. Running from 29 December 2025 to 18 January 2026, the project will bring together key pieces spanning three decades of his career.

Far from being a simple pop-up, the space will offer an immersion into his creative universe. The selection will include iconic garments from pivotal eras such as “Riot Riot Riot” and “Kollaps”. There will also be pieces from his collaborations with Sterling Ruby and from the collection inspired by Twin Peaks. Together, they reflect Simons’ impact on the evolution of contemporary menswear.

Unique archive garments and objects

Alongside the clothing, visitors will find archive material that is extremely hard to come by. This includes original lookbooks from the “Virginia Creeper” season and Isolated Heroes prints photographed by David Sims. A special box set containing the VHS tapes of the brand’s first nine runway shows will also be available. It is a rare chance to access objects that shaped the label’s identity, from its beginnings to the final pieces produced before its pause.

As part of the launch, Raf Simons will be in-store on Monday, 29 December, for a signing session. It will take place from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Rose Bakery on the seventh floor of DSM Ginza. The event will be reserved exclusively for those who purchase archive items on the day.

With this initiative, Simons not only offers the chance to acquire historic pieces, but also to connect directly with his creative legacy.
