The new Fenty x PUMA model arrives in three eye-catching colorways.
The Creeper Phatty, inspired by the original Creeper released in 2015, seeks to recapture the essence of the silhouette but with a bolder and more culturally relevant touch. Wrapped in suede with a quilted stripe, Fenty logo embossed on the tongue, laces with gold hardware and a stacked rubber sole, the Creeper Phatty arrives in three colorways: black and white, blue and green, and lavender red and cherry.
“We took our OG Creeper and made it bigger and bolder,” Rihanna expressed. “When designing the new Creeper Phatty, we wanted to reinvent the OG Creeper that I loved so much. It’s a classic silhouette that has been missed, so its return had to be in a big way.”
The second Fenty x PUMA campaign, creatively directed by Rihanna and captured by the talented Philippa Price, explores the juxtaposition between a “phatty” attitude and the iconic Creeper silhouette. The campaign further highlights the bright, oversized elements that make the sneaker unique.
María Valdés, product manager at PUMA, shared her enthusiasm: “The original Creeper was a game changer for us. We knew it was time to bring it back. This sneaker has universal appeal, and we’re excited to not only relaunch the original silhouette, but also expand our offering to the entire family.”
The Fenty x PUMA Creeper Phatty will be available globally beginning November 30, 2023, at 10 a.m. EST, both at Puma and select retailers, including Foot Locker.
And, in other footwear news, the Stüssy x Nike Air Flight 89 now has a release date.
