Step into Versace’s odyssey with his latest sneakers.

Among the many novelties seen at Versace’s latest Pre-Fall 2022 and FW22 shows, there was one that caught the eye: the Versace Odissea.

The new trainer features a 3D sculpted rubber Medusa that replaces the classic tongue of any sneaker. Called Versace Odissea, the name is a clear reference to Greek mythology, but also to the urge to travel and discover new territories. In this way, the silhouette is a journey into the future and into space, as its shape is reminiscent of a spaceship.

The idea behind its design is that of total dynamism, a very appropriate concept for a trainer that is evoked through the rubber structural elements integrated with the classic leather upper. Another element of note is the midsole, which features a structure that extends over the heel, reminiscent of a racing car’s spoiler.

The leather upper follows the style of basketball shoes, with a perforated toe cap and a heel tab with “Odissea” on it. All the different elements of the shoe are harmonised by the monochrome colour scheme in which six different shades come together: black, white, ultramarine blue, pink, brown and silver.

 

The new Versace Odissea trainer will be available on the brand’s official website, in all Versace boutiques and selected retailers.
