On the island of Ishigaki, located in the southwestern Japanese region of Okinawa, is a spectacular mansion designed by Sou Fujimoto. The ideal location for a dream holiday.
It is a “space that offers a private piece of the island to its visitors” and is part of the NOT A HOTEL project, which aims to develop and sell holiday homes around the world.
The property will be able to accommodate groups of up to 10 people once the works are completed. Following a circular structure, the sides are completely glazed in order to guarantee spectacular and expansive views of the ocean and the surrounding gardens. It has four independent bedrooms, a huge terrace, an infinity pool overlooking the sea and a private roof garden.
Sou Fujimoto’s Not a Hotel Ishigaki will open in 2023 and buyers will be able to purchase the entire mansion and rent it out as a hotel to other guests; or they can own only the part of the villa they want to use and buy their share by the day.
