This is what the Asics x Vivienne Westwood GEL-KAYANO™ 27 DE looks like

For the latest installment of the Asics X Vivienne Westwood 2021 collaboration, the renowned sports brand and the iconic British brand have saved the best for last with the release of the Asics x Vivienne Westwood GEL-KAYANO™ 27 DE.

Both ASICS and Vivienne Westwood rely on quality design and materials, using advanced technology and innovation in their work. That’s why their collaboration —which began in 2019— has continued over time with the release of unique models. Last month they introduced the GEL-KAYANO 27 LTX and now they are back with a new version of the GEL-KAYANO™ 27 DE.

The exclusive model has been designed from Westwood’s signature DIY and deconstruction aesthetic. In addition, Andreas Kronthaler wanted the sneaker to pay homage to craftsmanship. That’s why the sneaker’s upper material consists of a ripstop fabric, traditionally used by the military for its strength and durability. And although this is not a running shoe, the midsole and outsole of this silhouette maintain the same technologies as the GEL-KAYANO™ 27. In that sense, its GEL™ cushioning technology and DYNAMIC DUOMAX™ technology stand out. 

The Asics x Vivienne Westwood GEL-KAYANO™ 27 DE model is a limited edition. In addition, it will be available in two versions: lichen green/oxen brown and white/lichen red. They will be on sale in selected stores and online from May 1.
