The Czech bus manufacturer Torsus has published news about the school bus that will be on the market soon. The model is called Pretoriano, after the imperial bodyguards of Rome, and is the most robust to date – it looks like a tank.
This school bus is an off-road vehicle and has a capacity of 35 students. It is powered by a 6.9-liter, 6-cylinder diesel engine that is capable of generating 286 horsepower.
What sets it apart from other school buses is its 400 mm chassis-to-axle distance, 900 mm wading depth, LED light bars, front locking differential and thick off-road tires. In addition to the aesthetics in the purest Hummer style.
While the official price of this version is not yet known, we can be guided by the cost of some similar models, whose price is around 170,000 euros. You can find more information on the official website of Torsus.
