Virgil Abloh continues to sign contemporary works and objects of desire. This time, he has shared via social media and his PUBLIC DOMAIN website, a pair of Off-White x Air Force 1 specials that were revealed for the first time.
In the debut presentation, the sneakers appear amidst a special signature by Virgil for Lebron James, who personalizes the last details of the shoe with a felt-tip pen. The designer writes on it, codes and messages such as “BLACK LIVES MATTER”, “LE BRON” and “VIRGIL WAS HERE”, on the midsole.
Beyond these custom Off White, the sneaker construction itself follows in line with its predecessors. The swooshes are cast in metallic silver and accented with contrasting black stitching, while bright shades of “University Gold” run throughout the upper with baby blue overlays. It is finished with its iconic Helvetica typography.
No word yet on when the official release of these new Off-White x Nike Air Force 1‘s will be, although it is expected to be by the end of this summer.
