That’s right, we know all about the latest looks and incredible creations that American supermodel Bella Hadid has been sporting during her latest public appearances.
From the stunning vintage Dior – from the time when Yves Saint Laurent himself was creative director of the maison – in which she appeared in New York, to the iconic white Gucci by Tom Ford in which she walked the last red carpet of the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
All of them have been spectacular to say the least and have shared a couple of traits in common. What are they? Not belonging to the most recent collections and being the result of in-depth research in the archives of the most iconic fashion houses, such as Christian Dior, Versace, Gucci and Chanel.
It’s clear that the youngest Hadid’s style has undergone a very favourable change, giving way to a ladylike style with vintage and sexy touches that she knows how to defend very well. But who has been in charge of getting Bella to wear these stunning dresses that many consider to be iconic? The stylist of two of the actresses of the moment, Zendaya and Anna Taylor-Joy, Law Roach.
For those of you who haven’t yet heard of Roach, we’d like to say that you’re a little late, as Law – born in Chicago – at 43 years old, has been considered for several consecutive years as one of the best stylists and named in 2021 by The Hollywood Reporter magazine as the most influential person in Hollywood. Surprising, isn’t it?
But in addition to all these achievements, the American can also boast of having been one of those in charge of making Zendaya a fashion icon; and since a month ago, of being Bella Hadid’s official stylist and replacing the previous one, Mimi Cuttrell (who, by the way, continues to dress her sister Gigi Hadid).
Has Bella Hadid made the right decision in hiring Law to take care of her looks? We, with all due respect to Mimi, say yes. Will Bella receive the next CFDA fashion icon award? Time will tell, but if she continues on this path, it looks like she’ll be up for it.
