The Italian brand, which was founded in 1967 by Elio Fiorucci, hence the name of the firm, became popular during the 70s and 80s. However, shortly afterwards it disappeared from the map. In 2017, a reinvented Fiorucci returned, with oversize denim jackets and tight-fitting PVC trousers. A basic t-shirt with the brand’s logo was also presented. Kendall, Gigi and company did not hesitate to wear it and to occupy our Instagram feed for days. In a few words, Fiorucci went from bankruptcy to one of the most desired lowcost brands.
After those two collaborations we talked about before, Adidas and Fiorucci join forces again for AW19. Now they present a collection that incorporates all over the place the distinctive of Fiorucci: the cherubs. In fact, in the campaign photographed by Charlotte Hadden, one of the models is dressed as an angel with two white wings.
For AW19 they offer crop top t-shirts and cut-out sweatshirts, zipped jackets, sweatpants and leggins, made with retro materials such as terry cloth and matt satin. With regard to accessories, the socks are stamped with angels, as could not be otherwise, as well as the kidney bag and the transparent PVC bag. They also present a new model of footwear: Falcon Zip. This shoe stands out for its thick, retro-inspired midsole and its zip closure that gives it an urban touch.
