Not even a year after her impressive collaboration with Adidas Originals in autumn 2018, Amsterdam-based designer Daniëlle Cathari launches her much anticipated brand with her first collection entitled “DC Drop 1”.
Today, Cathari’s future plans come true with the launch of its brand of the same name, which is accompanied by a capsule collection entitled “DC Drop 1“, which will be presented exclusively on its website next Friday and which we assume will soon be sold out.
Cathari has explained that its aesthetics are based on complementing contrasts, with an emphasis on modern but simplistic details and comfort. The unisex capsule includes classic streetwear silhouettes – T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants and round-necked sweatshirts – all elevated with their attention to detail and unique twists, as can be seen through their work on the VFiles catwalk and collaboration with adidas Originals.
For this first “collection”, Cathari experimented with production in Vietnam, but has moved to manufacturing in Portugal, where it is also buying fabrics. The grammages of the clothes will be displayed on Cathari’s website a detail that she considers important for her customers. Sweaters and sweatpants range from size XS to XL and the price range is quite tight, ranging from 120 euros to 150 euros, respectively, while t-shirts range from S to XL at a price of 70 euros.
For this first drop you have decided to use your website as the only distribution channel, but it is open to wholesale for the future and you are already working on a second drop – buyers be alert!
