Loewe has just announced a collection inspired by the American artist Ken Price. This way, the garments will be presented with different graphics of hand-painted ceramic plates. The result: an authentic work of craftsmanship.
Loewe presents this week a new collection inspired by the works of the late American artist Ken Price. Influenced by 20 hand-painted ceramic plates for the restaurant La Palme in Newport Beach in the 80s, the collection represents a work of art. In a press release, designer Jonathan Anderson said:
“I have always been drawn to artists whose practices expand, push and challenge conventions. Over the past few years, the Loewe capsule collection, which comes out right before the holiday season, has allowed me to delve into my passion for art imbued with the materiality of craft”.
With a line for men and women, the capsule consists of silk shirts, hoodies, t-shirts, blouses, washed denim pants, skirts and shirts. In addition, different Loewe classics have been reinterpreted, such as the Puzzle bag, the Bamboo Bucket, or the Hammock.
“Ken Price” capsule will be available from November 12 in stores and on Loewe’s website.
