Our Legacy Pre-Fall 2019 collection takes us out to dinner at a trattoria to watch the football match. A stage that comes to life in a fashion version as we would never have expected.
In its Pre-Fall 2019 collection, the Swedish firm Our Legacy is inspired by summer nights in southern Europe, evoking the aesthetics of those restaurants with improvised screens that project football matches. A very concrete imaginary, which we have all lived year after year and which few of us expected would lead to a complete fashion collection.
Service uniforms, stained tablecloths, coarse kitchens and embroidered napkins. Every last detail has a wink in this collection. Even the idea of dressing up for a moment of celebration that later leads to frustration and despair over the loss of our equipment is one of the great brushstrokes of reference, according to Christopher Nying himself.
The transparencies and blurred graphics have been one of the great protagonists of this new bet, elements inspired perhaps in those screens that project the matches. The complete collection has resulted in a harmonious combination of utilitarian style, baggy cuts and an aesthetics that subtly unites the 70’s with the 90’s raves.
The Our Legacy Pre-Fall 2019 collection also brings us the second incursion of women’s clothing by the firm. Not only are the men’s pieces for women adapted, but also the other way around, creating new silhouettes and expanding the brand’s characteristic designs.
