The ANDAM FASHION AWARD organisation – founded in 1989 by Nathalie Dufour, whose aim is to attract global talent to the French capital – has announced the list of the 7 finalists who will compete in the GRAND PRIZE category for the final prize of 300,000 euros ($322,000). I’m sure the names of several of them ring a bell. Want to know who they are? We’ll tell you.
Heliot Emil (Copenhagen), Peter Do (New York), Ottolinger (Berlin), Botter (Netherlands), Cool TM (Paris), Lukhanyo Mdingi (South Africa) and Robert Wun (London). An impressive selection, isn’t it? It’s going to be hard to choose one among so much talent; although we already have our favourite.
In addition to all these names, designers Benjamin Benmoyal, BLUEMARBLE and BOYAROVSKAYA will also be present, but competing in another category: the Pierre Bergé Award. Finally, Ancuta Sarca, 13 09 SR and Dolly Cohen will be competing in the accessories category.
When will we know the final verdict of the ANDAM FASHION AWARD? On 30 June. That day the finalists will present their collections to the jury and it will be there that the winner of each category will be decided.
The novelty of this edition is that not only the winner of the first prize in the GRAND PRIZE category will receive a financial award, but also the second prize, although somewhat less, 100,000 euros (approximately $107,000).
Who will win which prize? We will keep you posted.
