The Moncler Genius extension of the Italian brand Moncler has been collaborating with different designers on limited edition collections since last year. The first was 0 Moncler Richard Quinn and the last 7 Moncler Hiroshi Fujiwara. Now it’s the turn of 8 Moncler Palm Angels with Francesco Ragazzi.
Designer Francesco Ragazzi was inspired by the vintage shop idea to design the 8 Moncler Palm Angels FW21 collection. The former creative director of Moncler for 10 years and now founder of skater aesthetic brand, Palm Angels, launches this collection and elevates outerwear by playing with volumes, materials and details of classic silhouettes.
The launch includes puffer jackets and quilted waistcoats, plus sweatshirts, jumpers, tracksuits and more. Garments come in shades of olive green, red, pink, yellow and orange, as well as Hawaiian and camouflage prints. 8 Moncler Palm Angels by Francesco Ragazzi also includes different types of bags in canvas, naylon and caps, hats, trainers and boots.
Ragazzi has modified the Moncler logo, replacing the rooster with a sleek palm tree from which a pair of angel wings emerge, reflecting the name of the collaboration. The designer has also launched his first collaboration for this collection with Italian brand Moon Boot, elevating the traditional puffer boot with a fun animal print.
The Moncler Genius Palm Angels 8 collection is now available on the Moncler and Palm Angels websites.
