Functional minimalism in Donald Glover’s first silhouette for New Balance

Donald Glover debuts with the New Balance team to reinvent the RC30 model in two new colourways. A much more minimalist version than the original.

 

New Balance expands its team of collaborators and this time chooses the vision of multidisciplinary artist Donald Glover. As they themselves have defined it, the new RC30 presents a “minimalist but functional” design through mustard and off-white tones, two colourways designed to combine any type of look in the day to day.

Certain key aspects of the original silhouette have been maintained, such as the corrugated sole, the stretched ‘N’ logo on the sides and the combination of textures and materials such as suede and nylon.

The official launch of the New Balance RC30 by Donald Glover starts today July 8th and will be extended from the 18th on the NB website and also at selected retailers.
