LOEWE celebrates International Women’s Day

Presenting the second edition of her project Women in Craft.

Ceramicist Akiko Hirai, wood sculptor Eleanor Lakelin and artists Luz Moreno and Simone Pheulpin are part of LOEWE‘s #WOMENINCRAFT initiative, and have been invited to visit their respective studios in London and Paris. These visits have been immortalised forever in two short films that explore these spaces while revealing the techniques, inspirations and practices that go into creating the different works.

A celebration that continues the movement that began with the social campaign launched in 2023, in which the fashion house invited artists and designers to share the work of the craftswomen they admire, creating a global chain of recognition. Women In Craft aims to celebrate women artisans and support the world of craftsmanship while forging connections in practice among the growing community of international LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize artists.
