LOEWE LAMPS: From 15 to 21 April at Palazzo Citterio

A total of 24 international artists sign the specially commissioned works for the Salone del Mobile 2024.

LOEWE‘s most ambitious collection to date on the occasion of Milan Design Week, featuring a special collection of lamps designed by 24 creatives from around the world who have a long-standing relationship with the fashion house. These newly commissioned floor, table and pendant lamps will be on display at the Palazzo Citterio.

As its name and component pieces indicate, the central medium of LOEWE Lamps is light, whose properties have been adopted and manipulated by each artist in order to establish their own individual practice. The project has allowed them to use a wide range of media, forcing the properties of each material to create unexpected interactions with light. For many of them, this is a unique opportunity to introduce new techniques and materials into their practice: the flexibility of bamboo, birch twigs, horsehair, the translucence of paper, lacquered finishes…

In addition, LOEWE will also offer a range of homewares including ikebana vases, doorstops and paperweights created from woven leather; along with bespoke designs created in collaboration with artists featured in this year’s presentation. You can see the list of participants below:
