Luis de Javier launches his first RTW collection exclusively for Selfridges

Luis De Javier makes his debut in the retail world by launching a ready-to-wear and gender-neutral capsule collection that is available exclusively at the English retailer Selfridges & Co.

As a love letter to the queer culture and underground nightlife that has inspired the brand’s DNA since its inception, the collection is by and for those people who constantly inspire its creator. “My community inspires me endlessly, so naturally I want the people who drive me to create these clothes to be able to buy them and wear them. That’s what makes me happy at the end of the day: to dress those people, to make them feel beautiful and free,” says Luis de Javier about the collection.

Playful and hugely powerful, the collection features all the Luis De Javier brand codes: vegan leather, tailoring and unabashed sexuality. This queer universe of the brand is materialized in a set of jackets, corsets, mini-dresses and pants, offered in black, white and red, with pieces in striking yellow and nude.

The collection is presented on floor 3 of the Designer Studio at Selfridges, in a bespoke display that brings to life a club-like bathroom where many of the collection’s ideas and the brand’s DNA were born.
