Pangaia introduces two new textile alternatives: PLNT FIBER and FRUIT FIBER

Pangaia introduces two new, totally sustainable materials, with which it intends to completely change the fashion industry.

The fashion brand specialising in sustainability and loungewear style clothing, Pangaia, has just presented two new materials, which from now on will be the main protagonists of its garments, as some of the brand’s star fabrics, such as over-produced cotton, will be replaced by others made from vegetable fibres and agricultural waste. Which ones? PLNT FIBER and FRUIT FIBER.

These two new (fully sustainable) materials are intended to change the fashion industry and stop the use of materials such as non-organic cotton or other synthetic materials that use fossil fuels. But in addition to this, Pangaia, with PLNT FIBER and FRUIT FIBER fabrics, will carry out an initiative, already underway, on high-tech naturalism, which aims to turn the planet into a positive one by the year 2023. As a highlight, each product made from these materials will contain digital passports accessible via QR codes that will offer customers a glimpse into the unique journey of each garment.

PLNT FIBER, on the other hand, is made from fast-growing and regenerating plant sources that do not need pesticides, fertilisers or irrigation to grow, such as eucalyptus, bamboo, Himalayan nettle and seaweed. FRUIT FIBER is made from sustainably sourced bamboo lyocell and fibres from pineapple and banana leaves that are often landfilled or burned.

Take a look at the gallery and discover the new Pangaia collection. It is now available on their website.
