Don’t be confused by the colour “ice” blue, because it has nothing to do with the cold, the new image of the Gel-Kiril is perfect for the summer season that is just around the corner. Kiko Kostandinov and Asics present the renewed silhouette that will be released this week. Following the line that characterizes their work they maintain the striking and provocative character that defines their capsules.
This model was launched during the Paris Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2020. The initial offer came in shades of “coriander” and “black“, but the change of season called for a new color to accompany the expected days of sun and heat. Finally, we can know the proposal for the next season in which the colour “ice” blue is the real protagonist.
Last February the brand duo revealed their common design of the Gel-Kiril shoes. For the second time this year Kostandinov and Asics show the new profile of very fresh character. At first glance you can taste the summer inspiration they exude. The combination of blue and the yellow touches of the design vivifies the originality of this SS20 capsule.
The pair features a shiny leather upper with a diamond pattern sewn onto a yellow mesh base. The FlyteFoam midsole features layers of wavy lines attached to Gel cushioning. The sole and heel area features the brand’s own technology. The final image is completed with a floral print on the back of the shoe. In both insoles Kiko Konstandinov signs his work with Asics.
The price is around 200 euros and they’ll be available on the Dover Street Market website from the 18th of this month and selected retailers.
