HMD has announced that the Nokia 2720 V Flip will go on sale later this month. Although at first glance its design takes us back to the past, the new phone will have 4G support and will allow the use of applications such as Facebook or Whatsapp.

After doing some research on how this device created by HMD will look like, we came to the following conclusion: either you love it or you hate it. If you are one of those who can’t live without TikTok, Instagram, a good camera or a big screen to stay up late watching YouTube tutorials, we don’t recommend it. But if you are more practical and only need the basics or want to take a break from so much technology, then this will interest you.

Without a doubt, the first thing that strikes you about the Nokia 2720 V Flip is its foldable design, which reminds us of the mobiles we used in the 2000s. The phone has a small inner screen of 2.8 inches and an outer one on which you can check the time or caller ID. And it has a single 2 MP camera with LED flash. But besides taking us back to the past, this new Nokia model incorporates some updates that adapt it to the present. It will have 4G connectivity, a web browser, Google Assistant, Google Maps, and you can still use some social networks like Facebook or Whatsapp, What about TikTok and Instagram? Well, we’re sorry to tell you that those won’t… The good news is that the simplicity of this atypical smartphone means that its battery life will be much longer.

The Nokia 2720 V Flip will be available starting May 20 for $80 and will be available for purchase through Verizon.
