Jonathan Anderson is reaching a point where his creations are not just clothes, but works of art, and that is something to celebrate. Every time the British designer presents a new collection, whether for his eponymous brand (JW ANDERSON) or for Loewe, the world comes to a standstill and the saying that fashion is an art is reaffirmed.
That’s right, fashion is an art, it is something indisputable and it becomes even more indisputable when you have Jonathan’s creations in front of you. This year the designer has chosen to present his autumn/winter 22 women’s collection in a lookbook format starring the American model Hari Nef. In it, she appears wearing the most party and fun pieces. Because after forty, that’s what we feel like, right?
As we can see in the images of Anderson’s latest collection, the festive touch is more than palpable in each and every one of the garments and accessories. From peplum dresses adorned with garlands and balloons at the hem, fringed skirts and tops and even some floaty ones (like a Jeff Koons sculpture) and fur skirt sets with yeti-style leg warmers, we can find everything in the collection.
Highlights for the coming autumn/winter season include pop culture references in the form of small rounded bags featuring the Korean manga protagonist Run Hany, as well as garments inspired by the iconic horror film Carrie.
Now you’re ready for a night out, JW ANDERSON style.
