The 12 finalists of the Andam Fashion Awards have been announced. The final presentation of their projects is scheduled for June 29 in front of the judging committee. Let’s take a look at this year’s lucky winners.
Six have been shortlisted for the Andam Grand Prize of €300,000 and a special prize of €100,000. They are Andreādamo, Duran Lantink, Ester Manas, Gauchere, Gmbh and LGN Louis-Gabriel Nouchi.
Candidates for the €300,000 ANDAM grand prize can be of any nationality, but must have a French company or create one during the same year in which they receive the grant. This year in addition, as confirmed by Chloé CEO Riccardo Bellini, who is the award’s mentor, the focus is on designers with a strong sense of social responsibility.
Avellano, Ouest Paris and Vaillant will be eligible for the Pierre Bergé Prize of 100,000 euros. And for the Accessories Prize of 100,000 euros, Alighieri, Panconesi and Ruslan Baginskiy will compete.
All finalists will present their project to the 31-member judging committee, which this year will include guests such as Pat Cleveland (iconic model of the 1960s and 1970s), Beka Gvishiani (founder of stylenotcom) and Gigi Hadid (international supermodel).
All finalists will receive financial and logistical support from event sponsors and ANDAM committee members. For example, Balenciaga will provide access to its stock of fabrics and raw materials. As for Mytheresa, the company will provide digital leadership expertise.
Winners will receive a Swarovski trophy designed by last year’s ANDAM Grand Prix winner Botter. Who do you think is worthy of the 2023 award?
