Loewe SS2020 Escape Nymphs

Jonathan Anderson introduces us to an idyllic dream in which a group of teenagers escape from reality and head for a parallel universe in which everything flows spiritually. This mythological neo-paradise SS20 speaks of romanticism and fantasy, between sculptural works and subliminal eroticism.

Through an eclectic creative line, Loewe presents a nomad crew in *out of space* mode wearing a collection in which volumes flow through the airy fabrics. In it, pastel linen pieces, cotton shirts, oversize trousers, crochet sweaters and kaftans join Anderson’s sublime tailoring.

In this new escapist reality, sailor shirts, silk bibs and monochrome suits are combined with straw moccasins, suede sandals or espadrilles that elevate the Spanish legacy of Loewe. All this creates a neo-romanticist painting in which textures are drawn in the form of layers, stripes and colours in ultra-refined suede leather.

The accessories elevate the surreal concept through berlingo geometric bags, deconstructed puzzle bags in soft calfskin, as well as shopper backpacks. Metal disc pendants, feathered headdresses and brooches have just outlined the greatness of the nymphs of the past, wearing futuristic glasses to see beyond this new world created by the iconic Anderson.
