Patta x New Balance 991: now on the global wishlist

Fans of dad shoes are in luck: Patta x New Balance have already unveiled their latest collaboration celebrating the iconic 991 on the occasion of their 20th anniversary.

The brands are reissuing one of the most archival silhouettes of their time, back in 2021 when the GC was launched. It was then one of the high performance running models that changed the game of the sneaker scene.

Patta and New Balance have already had their moment of cobranding after teaming up in 2019 for the “Runs in the Family” campaign, as they did last year when they released their 920s.

In 2021 they create another need for the generation of hyper-consumption with a shape that maintains its shape and original details. The novelty? that colorway that fuses the tone “cork” and “petrol”, together with the “peach” and grey that covers the upper part of the trainer.

Beyond the colors, if we analyze its construction, we see how the “pigskin” coating is superimposed on the mesh housing the mythical “N” of New Balance on the sidewall. The silhouette rests on an ABZORB midsole, while Patta‘s logo defines its identity with contrasting embroidery on the back.

Patta x New Balance 991 will be launched exclusively through the Patta web on January 25th at 13:00 CET. The world drop will be on January 29th.
