In a new collection ready for the upcoming FW19, LOEWE’s Creative Director and the Japanese retail giant are bringing the British traditional vibes to these days with an exquisite modern rendition.
Framed in the stunning landscapes of St. Ives in Cornwall, the new proposals from UNIQLO and JW Anderson are pure heritage, British identity and renovated classics. Under the title of “Great British Outdoors”, the collection brings the essence of England to the UNIQLO stores versioned by Anderson, providing that avant garde touch so unique from the British designer.
“Like all the seasons I’ve done with Uniqlo it’s always interesting to see the collection evolve through the meetings with the teams and see if really become this amalgamation of life wear and JW Anderson,” says Anderson. “I liked this idea of pops of color to make the heritage British patterns and colors feel a bit more modern. Contrasting pops of color and tartan are very present.”
Reversible pieces, tartans, puffers, a wide range of accessories, skirts and HEATTECH Warm Easy Pants for man and AIRism leggings for the ladies, among many other things complete this FW19 collection with a fresh interpretation of the most iconic designs from the British Islands
Coolness for the rural.
